Pre-recorded message that sounds very life-like of a woman asking for donations. They are claiming to be Next Step - a legit charity that supports victims of domestic violence - however if you Google the charity the actual website has a phone scam alert. They are asking for bank account details for a “one off” donation - claiming that they only need three people to pledge and you are the third. Absolutely disgraceful, but scarily sophisticated.

Time for Australian Govt to legislate these organisations out of existence!!!

This number has been calling me regularly for weeks now on my landline. I just called back and got a recorded message. The message said they are Next Steps Australia Fundraising team. I looked them up, I’ve never supported or heard of them. Apparently they are a charity who support domestic abuse victims.
