    Referring to other peoples comments... It maybe ANZ bank.. Because I'm over the limit on my credit card by 20 dollars... So they maybe calling to ask me if I have made a payment or want to discuss financial difficulty stuff... So it maybe be legit... I went and paid the $20 today 3 Apr2024... And maybe they may stop calling...

    I answer and there’s no one on the other end, it just hangs up but keeps calling.

    I think it is from ANZ bank. They would not identify themselves. Only said they were from Bank. Not the bank or a bank, just bank.

    Caller did not identify self, asked to speak to correct person but until questioned wouldn’t say who they were and even then it was “your bank!!” Sorry which bank? Claimed to be ANZ, I highly doubt this. Very jumbled when attempting to ask who was calling..

    Hung up when answered, guessing it’s a charity call again.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
