A male caller informed me that a charge of $700.00 had been added to my bank account. When I expressed my certainty that this was not the case, he abruptly hung up. Upon calling the number back, I was informed it was related to a marketing call.
The caller claimed to be from the Amazon Fraud Department. When I said I couldn’t talk at the moment and offered to call back, they insisted I was unable to do so and warned that money would be deducted from my account before hanging up. In the background, I heard chatter regarding Visa and Mastercard credit cards. I have since blocked this number!
When I answered the call, the person claimed to be from the Visa and MasterCard credit card center. However, as soon as I replied with "Hello," they hung up on me. I've decided to block this number.
