SCAMMERS.
Pretending to be Energy Company.
I missed a call from this number while I was working. It was labeled as coming from Craigieburn, Victoria. There was no information about it on this website, so I returned the call and got a recorded message offering a deal on my electricity from a company called Great Offer.
This call was clearly from an overseas telemarketer. When I inquired about the identity of the caller, they asked if this was the number for XXXX. After repeated questions, the caller, who identified herself as Selina, said she wanted to discuss the electricity account. I expressed my lack of interest and ended the call.
After receiving 11 calls in one afternoon from the same number, I finally answered. They offered me what sounded like a good deal on an energy provider, but I quickly hung up as it felt too pushy.
