    I trust the whole ecosystem benefits from the comment below.

    Do not answer. Take the number. There is no message left. Even work out the number of unanswered calls made by this caller over time.

    I can only consider this is a spam and nuisance caller. The rationale I am using is that the caller never leaves a message while calling as many times as at least twice a day, often several times per week.

    It is more likely to be a stalker - at least someone of the predatory or stalking mentality: given the frequency of calls and persistence of the caller/s.

    There is something very, very wrong with a business mentality that makes so many calls to one landline without receiving any response to the calls from that landline - the outlay is lewd to consider, given that there is nothing special about this writer's number: just another number: so, myriad calls are indulged using the following mentality:

    'Just keep on calling eventually 'they' will answer and give in to our salespitch - when 'they' do eventually answer!!! I mean: 'they' MUST answer the phone.'.

    What sort of being is the 'they' proposed by a business that uses the phone this way?

    I mean: 'Doh!'.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
