    Everytime these people call I instead turn around and try and pump them cryptocurrency. Most of the time they get the shits and hang up but credit to JORDAN from India who hung in there and heard me out, and now promises to get back to me to tell me who the parent company is so I can spam call them instead with crypto offers lol.

    Calling from ‘utility business group.’ Trying to compare prices and said prices in my area are rising and they can give lower prices for electricity. Call From Croydon, Victoria according to apple. They will know your name.

    Has called me 3 times within the last hour, I didn't answer the calls and no message was left, so am going to assume that it was either telemarketing or a scam.

    Called me twice on the hour. Last call about 15 minutes ago. Given they didn't leave a message, I take it its a marketing call.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
