Scam, they have phoned 3 times in the last 2 hours. When I called back after the last call there was an automated message saying I was contacted regarding energy offers.
Scam.
A person called me claiming to be able to help me save money on my power bill by needing all the details from my bill. I explained that I had already checked my rates online through the NSW Government website and that I had the lowest rate available. The caller insisted that I couldn’t possibly know my own billing situation and became rude when I refused to share my information, stating that he could find a better deal for me as the 'expert.' His tone was quite aggressive and unprofessional.
This was an interstate call that I chose not to answer because I typically avoid such calls. They seem to be persistent scammers and a nuisance.
I prefer not to answer calls from interstate numbers unless I recognize them. This particular call hung up after ringing five times.
