    This number is being spoofed. There is a Genuine business in Victoria which has the number, when you go to their website it says their number is currently being spoofed by a Scam (cheaper electricity bills).

    0380018412 is a suspected as a SCAM call claiming from United Choice Group Electricity Australia, however the consultant is Indian & after we checked the internet - no such company exists. Note: Questioned how they obtained my contact number & he said he was returning my regarding my query & requested a security check for me to provide personal details?? WTH?! I never did such a thing so I quickly hung up & blocked the number. Also there was a constant clicking noise & loud market noise in the background.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
