What Our Users Reviewed
Scam.
Caught off guard. Because of the relentless campaign of fraudsters and telemarketers I routinely deliberately chose to decline calls from numbers I do not recognise. In this instance - I was waiting for an urgent "call-back" in relation to an important matter and inadvertently answered before checking the number:(Company called "Learn Exchange" (caller was a woman with thick Asian accent) "Cold Called" my number that is registered on the Australian Federal Government's "No Call Register". This woman claimed to be entitled to do so and to have my full contact details because "you clicked on a link on one of our "Affiliate Websites". She claimed to be calling to follow-up an E-mail "Learn Exchange" had sent to me "more than a month ago". Caller was unable to explain how "clicking on a link on an affiliate website" could possibly have provided "Learn Exchange" with the full suite of my personal information that this woman claimed to possess - especially since I was absolutely certain that I had not provided that information to any such website. Further, I challenged the caller's assertion that I had clicked on any such link. I requested that "Learn Exchange" provide the name of the "Affiliate Website", that "Learn Exchange" was asserting had on-sold my personal information to this telemarketer, so I could "unsubscribe" from whatever website/service she was representing had done so. The caller responded with the advice that "this will take a while because you clicked on the link in our Affiliate Website already more than a month ago now" before ultimately failing to provide the requested information. I advised that "cold calling" a number registered on the "No Call" register represented a breach of the Australian Telecommunications act and asked that neither "Learn Exchange" nor any of its "Affiliates" ever call my number again.
Needless to say, I am not anticipating this request will be respected - back to routinely declining calls from unrecognised numbers!
This is a scam caller trying to lure me into investing by claiming they can 'increase my cash flow.' Please beware of such tactics!
Answered the call and said hello. Male spoke back in some asian speaking language. I hung up and blocked.
I received a telemarketing call, but the caller hung up after just a few seconds of silence.
No message was left when I received this call. I called back, but the line was busy. I suspect it might be one of those telemarketer offers.
