What Our Users Reviewed
Person posing as being from Telstra. They wanted to advise me that as being a loyal Telstra customer, they were offering me a phone upgrade - at no cost - along with a modem upgrade. Told me that to proceed with the deal, I would need to send a copy of my photo ID. Told them that was not happening. I said “you should have my details on file and if I was such a loyal customer, they shouldn’t need any ID, particularly as I did not instigate any upgrade”
Caller sounded as though she was reading from a script or something, and I could actually hear other people in the background saying the same exact things!
I questioned why Telstra would be calling customers on Easter weekend, and the woman started to stammer as if to be thinking of the correct thing to say.
I ended up telling her that I was sure she was a scammer as I’ve not dealt with Telstra since 1998.
0370744731 is a scam saying they are Telstra offering a deal. They ask for your license number and say they will call back in 10 minutes with the confirmation. When no call came in, I tried to call back and it could not be connected. They are identity thieves. I now have to get a new license.
