Nuisance Call Reports for 03 7067 9621

A contributor has flagged 03 7067 9621 (also written as 0370679621) for repeated nuisance calling activity. The report describes receiving approximately 6 or 7 calls in a single day from this Victorian local number, all centred on unwanted promotional content about Dandy's World and the anime series Hetalia.

The caller from 0370679621 appears to be engaged in spam calling focused on niche entertainment topics rather than financial or personal data-harvesting scams. Call Pattern and Timing

The contributor received multiple calls from 03 7067 9621 in rapid succession on the same day, indicating either an automated dialling campaign or deliberate harassment. This clustering of calls within a short timeframe is typical of spam operations and suggests the number may be part of a broader nuisance calling network rather than an isolated incident.

What to Do If You Receive a Call from 03 7067 9621

If 03 7067 9621 contacts you:

  • Do not: Engage with the caller or provide any information; answer repeatedly from the same number
  • Do: Let calls go to voicemail, block the number immediately in your phone's settings, and mark as spam or blocked contact
  • Do: Hang up without listening to the full message if you do answer by mistake

Since 0370679621 is registered to Symbio Networks Pty Ltd (a legitimate Victorian telecommunications provider), the number itself may have been compromised, spoofed, or assigned to a spam operator. Do not assume the number is safe based on provider reputation.

called 14 times on Saturday, appears to be energy service related

The caller claimed to be calling from the Victorian Energy Upgrades scheme. The scheme is a genuine Victorian government scheme, run by the Essential services commission and the Department of Environment, Land, Water, and Planning. The department has outsourced this program (Free Lights, Free Shower Heads, Free Power meters etc) to private companies, without ensuring that they have in place a process to stop these companies using illegal telemarketing practices to get victims. The Government department has made it clear that they will not contact people. To stop this abuse of us, every person who receives one of these calls should contact their local state politician and request them to ask the government what action they are taking to stop these illegal calls. If we annoy our politicians enough, they might actually decide to stop these stupid calls.

Why did I receive multiple calls from 03 7067 9621 on the same day?

The pattern reported for 0370679621 suggests either an automated spam dialling system or deliberate harassment. Is 03 7067 9621 actually calling from Symbio Networks?

The number 0370679621 is allocated to Symbio Networks Pty Ltd, a Victorian telecommunications provider, but this does not guarantee the calls are legitimate. The content reported (anime and entertainment spam) is unrelated to Symbio's services, indicating misuse of the number.

What should I do if I accidentally answer a call from 03 7067 9621?

If you answer 0370679621, hang up immediately without engaging or providing any information. Do not press any buttons, say anything, or stay on the line. After hanging up, block the number in your phone's contact settings to prevent future calls from 03 7067 9621 from ringing through.

Can I report this number to the Do Not Call Register?

Yes, you can register 03 7067 9621 with the Do Not Call Register at donotcall.gov.au. This is a free service that prevents telemarketers and many automated systems from calling you. However, the Do Not Call Register is primarily for marketing calls, so you should also report 0370679621 to ACMA (acma.gov.au) for nuisance calling harassment.

How do I report 03 7067 9621 to ACMA?

Visit acma.gov.au and use their complaint form to report the nuisance calls from 0370679621. Include details such as the date, time, number of calls, and the content of the spam (in this case, unwanted promotional calls about anime and entertainment). ACMA investigates breaches of Do Not Call Register rules and can take action against persistent offenders.

Should I be concerned about data breach if I received calls from 03 7067 9621?

The reported content from 0370679621 is entertainment-based spam rather than a data-harvesting scam, so there is no immediate indication of data compromise. However, spam operators may have obtained your number from public sources, data breaches, or contact lists. If you are concerned, monitor your accounts for suspicious activity and consider changing passwords for sensitive accounts.
