03 7067 5125 - Spam Call Alert for Power Monitoring Devices

The callers apparently obtain your numbers from the DO NOT CALL Register, which raises concerns about privacy. If you are sharing your number on these lists, you may receive random calls regularly, as they purchase these lists to reach out to potential victims.

03 7067 5125. When ever I receive a call like that, I let it ring and reverse the number. Like others before me, they are asking about power saving devices from the government. What a load of bollocks and cods wallop. Scammers and sadly, usually an Indian accent, thus giving the majority of the Indian population a bad name. Betcha their parents don't know that they are involved in criminal activity.

The caller inquired if I had recently changed my shower heads and wanted to discuss it. I let the call go on for a while while they repeated "hello." Eventually, I hung up, as it seemed nonsensical.

I received another call from a number similar to 0370675XXX, specifically 70675125. They did not leave a message. It appears to be another telemarketing call related to the energy monitor program. While these ceiling fan seals are legitimate items provided for free by the Victorian government to improve home efficiency, telemarketers are now cold calling individuals to install them and collect government fees.

The caller hung up on me abruptly, which made me feel they were acting maliciously.

I am reporting this as complaint number 83. I believe this is likely a scam call intended to waste time, possibly impersonating someone from a legitimate company. Just because a caller claims to be from a particular business does not mean they are who they say they are!

I didn’t pick up the call, but the caller left a voicemail in which he was singing a song, repeating, "So lonely mmmmmm... so lonelyyyy." It sounded odd and not like a typical message.

This is a scam. Every time I block a number, they immediately call from a different one. I received this call from a new number, and I've lost count, but it is likely around the 100th scam call I've had in the last six months.

It seems like calls to both (03) 7067 5125 and (03) 7067 5195 lead to a message saying the mobile number is disconnected. They are likely redirecting calls to a fake mobile number connected to Optus. Do not engage with these calls.

I avoid answering calls from numbers I do not recognize. If the call is legitimate, they should leave a proper message. I receive too many scam calls to take the risk.

It’s a company trying to provide “free” electricity monitor for Victorians. However, they do not have a record of who they installed so expect them to call you many many times. I suggest block this number and report to the authorities.

As soon as the caller asked if I had received my government energy monitor, I knew it was a scam and immediately hung up.

The caller asked, "Am I speaking to David?" but that is not my name, so I promptly hung up. I'm also receiving similar calls from numbers starting with 03 90xx xxxx and 03 70xx xxxx, and I block each one as they come through.

I think this number is a scam call. I've received several previous calls from this number, and despite blocking it every time, the calls keep coming, especially on weekends. I am on the do not call register, so I'm puzzled about how they're still able to contact me.

These number called me and when I reverted the call could not be found.

This call was a spam attempt for some kind of powering device located in Victoria, which is not relevant to me since I don’t live there. I informed the caller that this is a spam call and asked them not to call again.

I get calls from this number and several others with slightly different last digits quite often. I don’t answer these calls and just block them after doing a reverse number lookup, as I prefer to identify unknown callers before deciding to answer.

I don't see the point in reporting this, as you don't publish comments, so there might be many more instances of this number calling.
