The caller claimed to be from EMS and addressed me by name. This is now the third call I've received from similar numbers, which I have all decided to block.
I didn't pick up the call because it has been repeatedly ringing around the same time each day. They also seem to change the last digit of their phone number each time. I plan to report the number and block them.
If everyone could just be more cautious and stop falling for scams, perhaps these calls would decrease. It really frustrates me that they continue to call.
I did not answer the phone, but the voicemail left by a man with a heavy accent mentioned my name. This strongly suggests that it was a scammer or someone trying to sell a product.
This caller rang me twice, even after I hung up on him the first time. He had an Indian accent and seemed to know my name. It feels like he's back again with another unwanted call!
I received two spam calls in quick succession. The second call was from a woman with an Indian accent, calling from what sounded like a noisy call center. She knew my name and asked if I had a government-issued power-saving device. When I inquired how she obtained my name, she abruptly hung up. I have blocked and reported this number.
A foreign man called me claiming to be from the security department of NBN.
I received calls from (03) 7067 5104 and 0398467045536 in quick succession. The second number is not valid and I couldn't return the call. My Samsung security flagged this as a spam call.
The caller greeted me with my maiden name and asked to speak to me in a busy call center manner, which was hard to hear. I asked who I was speaking to, and the caller said they were from a company called "EMS." When I expressed I wasn’t familiar with the company, the caller rudely dismissed my question and hung up.
Deffinanty not a home phone. Can here lot's of people talking to multiple people in the background. Lady asked if I have a Power saving device called IN HOME DISPLAY. I told them I don't need one. Lady told me its free from the Victoria goverment, I still replied 'I don't need 1'. She then said oka and hanged up.20 minutes later they have called me 3 more times, and I just don't answer. Scammers.
Short ring. Unknown caller to me. Blocked the number then they rang again. I rang back just to find out if they answered & as expected disconnected. Not a trusted contact. My phone is set up as a private number. Where do they get these numbers from. An internet search says may be a spoofed number? What does a spoofed number mean? Do not trust this number & never download their messages.
03 7067 5104 called me yesterday, so over scammers call us.
I received 10 missed calls from this number over the course of 2 days, despite being registered on the national no-call list.
I received a threatening call, and I suspect it to be a scam attempt. I advise caution.
The caller repeatedly asked if I had an energy-saving device fitted to my meter box. I have told them multiple times to stop calling, but they still persist. It's frustrating that the Do Not Call Register seems ineffective against these spam calls.
Scam.
Called me four times within an hour yesterday, did not answer as my husband was getting them too! Super duper dodgy!
