What Our Users Reviewed
SCAM, claiming to be from eBay letting me know my account has been used by somebody else and wanting me to connect to their server from my phone or PC to cancel a fraudulent purchase.
This call was a scam where the caller claimed to be from eBay, stating that my account had been compromised. They urged me to connect to their server through my phone or computer to cancel a fraudulent transaction.
A message was left stating that $299.99 would be deducted from my credit card for setting up a debit payment. It instructed me to press 1, 2, or 9 based on my wishes, but it didn't identify who they were. This clearly resembles a scam, as confirmed by numerous complaints. I have blocked the number and did not respond.
I received a recorded message that began with “This is a confirmation from eBay for 200...". Since I have neither made an order on eBay nor have anything for sale there, this is likely a scam.
