An unknown caller contacted me and went straight to voicemail but did not leave any message.
I received a scam call from this number. When I asked the caller to verify that they were from Telstra, they became very loud and hung up on me.
I received a call from Telstra with a representative named Matilda discussing internet issues related to my IP numbers. Although I appreciated Matilda's effort, the long delay before she spoke makes me suspicious. The call appeared to be from Melbourne. I will be contacting Telstra directly.
I suspect this is spam, as it bears similarities to other spam numbers I have encountered, specifically (03) 7049 4882 and (03) 7049 4884.
Received call on 24 Oct 2024. Very similar to number that phoned two days ago but ending in 4868. Both didn't leave messages. Called this number back in, got message that phone turned off. Scammer.
A scammer called saying that they are from PayPal and they noticed an illegal transaction on my account, we need my verification to a stop transaction, what I got was a password reset email. They knew my name and email.
Also wanted me to download some Zoho customer support app.
Had a missed call on my mobile, called back from the work landline and he addressed me as my bosses name.
Obviously comes up with a name against a number and postcode. Pretty scary if they have this info.
Had a man call pretending to be the bank, and told me my account had a fraudulent transaction from America. He then wanted details of my balance. When I questioned him to give me details he hung up. When I call back. It was a fishing call.

The caller claimed to be from Optus and told me that my IP address was public and needed to be changed. I didn't believe this information and decided to hang up.
This call was a scam where the caller was pretending to be from Amazon.
