Caller (clearly from India or Pakistan) claimed to be from Telstra and that my internet had been hacked and that he would guide me to fix it.

After I expressed my doubts and told him he could go away (or something along those lines) he called back, without stating where he was from, wanting to know why I hung up on him. Scammers making appointment to connect my National Broadband Network to fibre. He asked for my mobile, I said no, he made an appointment and then asked again, I said no. This is a SCAM! The caller claims that there is an issue with my NBN modem and that they will replace it for free. They then attempted to get me to download software called ANYDESK, which would give them remote access to my computer. I advise that you do NOT engage with this call!

This is definitely a scam. Just got a call from 03704 27595 - the caller with a Pakistani accent purported to be from National Broadband Network and wanted to make an appointment to visit our property on 19 October 2023. He also wanted to know how many items we own which use National Broadband Network. I asked for his number so I could ring him but he hung up.

I rang the number shown on my telephone and got an automated 'mailbox is full, cannot accept any messages.'
