Scary thing the know my name today 5/8/24.
Had call from same number today claiming to be from TELSTRA IT so how does it become TELSTRA from being COMM-BANK. So deffinatly a scam call senter.
Called started silent for a couple of seconds before beginning an obvious automated message, introduced themselves as "Olivia" from the "Commonwealth Bank" and that there was an unauthorized transaction of $1800 out of my account. Fair to say, scam number.
Missed call and they don’t leave a message. Probably a scammer.
I received a call from this number and it felt suspicious since the caller hung up immediately after I answered with "hello."
I too just had the pleasure of getting called by this number but I missed the call thankfully. I'm getting around 3 to 4 calls a week from these pricks. Often they leave a voicemail message with some Asian raving about a pandemic or other rubbish. Hopefully they spontaneously combust really soon!
This is being used by scammers today (2 Aug 2024) claiming to be "Steve" (heavy Indian accent) from CommBank Anti-Fraud Department wanting to verify a transfer to Ryan Miller in NZ. Dopey guy just hung up when I asked him if he knew my account number. DON'T PROVIDE CALLERS ANY DETAILS. Hang up and call your bank, and ask THEM to verify themselves.
