This number is very bothersome and continues to call me despite my efforts to block it. They just won’t stop!
This number has called my workplace over 20 times in just a few days, asking for a person named 'Caitlin,' which is not my name. Additionally, I received about three calls to my personal number, and those calls went straight to spam.
I answered multiple calls from this number today, only to have the caller hang up when I mentioned I am on the Do Not Call Register. They then called me back immediately, stating it doesn't matter and proceeded to call me five times in just under five minutes. Since blocking this number, I've received at least 10 calls from it in total!
What do they get from just ringing & hanging up. Does it just confirm an active number they can place on a call list to give to their mates to continue ringing?
If you ring back they never go through, all you get is "this number is not active. Check you dialing and try again."
So how come telco's can't block the caller/s & stop them in the bud? OR why don't the telco's tell us how they are trying to stop these types of callers so as to build up a bit of confidence in their public..
