Received a call from 03 7003 5036? This phone number has sparked user concerns as a potential spam source linked to NAB. Read on for tips on handling these calls and understanding their reliability.
In recent months, numerous Australians have reported receiving calls from the number 03 7003 5036. User feedback ranges from suspicions of spam to confirmations linking it to the National Australia Bank (NAB). However, the mixed reviews indicate that this number may not be as legit as it seems.
Upon analysis of the user reports, we categorised this phone number as predominantly suspicious. Here’s what callers need to know:
- Spam Indication: Multiple users experienced calls that resulted in quick hang-ups when they attempted to call back. This behaviour is often associated with spam calls where the caller's intent is unclear and usually designed to avoid direct interaction.
- Legitimacy Concerns: Some users believed the calls related to a NAB card dispute; however, inconsistencies in the service level, such as long response times and hasty terminations, have raised eyebrows. In one instance, a user noted they were left confused without any service resolution, leading to further distrust.
- Mixed Reports: There is a contrasting report from a user who interacted with the NAB Card Dispute Team who stated it was a legitimate follow-up. Yet, the diversity of user experiences suggests most contacts can potentially be insincere, or merely low-quality service from the bank.
So, how should one deal with calls from 03 7003 5036? Here are some helpful suggestions:
- Always verify through official channels—if you receive a call claiming to be from NAB or any organisation, hang up and directly contact the bank’s customer service using official contact numbers found on their website.
- No answer? Blocking unknown numbers may be as prudent as it is preventative. Use your mobile or the settings in your FAQ to avoid repeated intrusions.
- Stay informed—utilise platforms like Reverseau and Reverse Phone Lookup Australia to share experiences and warn others about dubious activities.
In summary, while 03 7003 5036 could be associated with NAB, substantial reports leaning towards spam and dubious service warrant caution. If you are left in doubt about the legitimacy of calls from this number—or any number—it’s best to research and verify before providing any personal information.

I received a call from NAB regarding a dispute I raised on August 23, 2022. When I called back on July 3, 2023, they requested all the same information I had provided in the original dispute form. They promised to give me an update by the end of the next day, but I never received any follow-up.
NAB Card Dispute Team.
Rang me, confirmed some details then asked if I was happy if they close the case. Was followed up by an email. Nothing suspicious.
I appreciate the information shared by others regarding their experiences. I filed a dispute with NAB on February 2, 2023, and they’ve just informed me, on May 18, 2023, that they couldn't resolve it and have closed the case. I recently received a call from them, but when I answered, the caller hung up. This seems very unprofessional on NAB's part!
I received a call claiming there was a dispute over a Visa card payment that I was unaware of. When I provided my name and address for verification, they abruptly hung up. I seriously doubt this was a legitimate call from NAB.
I used a screen call feature to identify this caller, but they hung up without saying who they were. If it had been an important matter, they should have stayed on the line.
NAB recently called me and followed up with an email regarding a dispute I had over a transaction on my card, which I already resolved myself. This dispute was lodged on June 5th, and now it’s August 18th—over 11 weeks later! In my opinion, NAB is not demonstrating good customer service.
I'm receiving spam calls from this number, and they hang up when I attempt to call back. I have blocked them.
