I got the exact same call from this number. Telstra told me they were scammers. A further list of dodgy numbers ringing my new private landline number in just 2 weeks are: 0369561127.0363621429.0357845787.0378889944.0261236445, oversea numbers that don't display and 0262820454. I haven't had time to give my new number to family yet but instead have to bother with these people! Now I have to change the blasted number yet again!!!! All calls say the same thing about concern for my pc internet safety.....
Warning! They claim to be Telstra & want access to you're computer, I said no and was told to go jump in lake! Definitely not Telstra beware!
These people called today several times, Indian accent saying they are from Telstra and we're concerned about computers connected to the internet and possible virus. Obvious scam as Telstra don't concern themselves with devices attached to internet. Be wary everyone just hang up..
Yes they rang today saying they are from Telstra and I have activities going on with my internet. Quite convincing as the woman on the end of the line had an asian accent, which we all know is the majority of teltra employees, since the call centre is in the Phillapines.
Indaian call centre, could not hear what was being said, lots of noise in back ground. No now entered in Ignore and Block listing on phone.
SCAM using Telstra name saying 6 months disconnect from internet.
Once again the 'Technical Department of Telstra' just called... When I requested that they remove my name from their calling list, they hung up. (Hope they got the message...).
I just did get a phone call from this number. In addition to what it was mentioned in the previous they told me that"on Behalf of Telstra they were trying to help me to sort out my Internet because someone was trying to hack my IP. I told them that I haven't called anyone but I will check personally with my Internet provider after the call. I refused to provide any information and because I wasn't cooperating they hang up. I immediately, called my Internet provider to make sure this people were not trying to get into the server and I'm filling out a form with all the details so others are aware of this. While looking for scams still on the phone I noticed this website that I am grateful for.
This number keeps calling me, but when I try to call back it says the line is disconnected. They called to say they work at Telstra, and they sounded Indian.
I got a phone call from someone at this number claiming to be a Telstra technician. We have been receiving calls from these people for over a year now claiming there's a problem with our computer and we're not with Telstra and threating to shut our service down. Obvious scam.
This number has phoned, left no message and I didn't answer. However when I phoned the number back, the reply was that the number was disconnected.
