    To second other comment its LODE calling undergraduates to offer internships. I don't get why they call seems a bit scam-like and won't help recruit!

    Had a missed call from them today 02.06.15 on my mobile. Called back from my landline and it didn't ring just stayed silent and then said "the call could not be completed at this time". Don't know who it is/why they are calling.

    Missed call from them today 28/5/15 at 4.10pm. I tried calling them back twice, but there wasn't any dial tone, just a beep.

    Random also called. I gave the usual introductory spiel and they almost immediately hung up. I called them back and got to an answering machine...

    Random call. Picked up and no one responded. After 3 or 4 seconds they hung up. Tried to call back but it went straight to the answering machine.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
