This is definitely a scam; the caller claimed they needed to secure an $1800 transaction on my debit card with Commonwealth Bank of Australia. This is laughable because I don’t even have a debit card with them!

I received a call from a number that identified itself as coming from Targa in Tasmania. The caller spoke in Chinese but offered an English translation regarding phone call inquiries. I find these calls to be a nuisance and believe they originate from scammers. It's frustrating that such calls continue to happen when they are clearly bothersome. Since it's a landline number, someone must be paying for the call. I hope measures can be taken to prevent these callers from disturbing us.
