    Hi everyone.

    The company doing this is COHORT DIGITAL, via "WinAt Win Games".

    You can complain here:

    Cohort.

    Suite 15.04, Ernst & Young Centre,

    680 George Street.

    Sydney NSW 2000.

    Australia.

    Info@cohort.com.au.

    Www.cohort.com.au.

    Apparently a "manager" will call you back. But if you're ever lucky enough to get through to the number that called you, you can really push them to get your number off their listing.

    They have to comply, especially if you tell them the number they called you on is one you NEVER distribute or use to sign-up, so that they only way they got it is via "harvesting" (which is illegal in Australia). Drop government body acronyms like ACMA and that will rattle them.

    [link] insist they completely remove your number.

    This no. Called me 5 times in 5 hours today. When I reject it, it calls again. It's definitely harassment, I've been received such kind of phone call more than half month, they call me everyday, even Saturday, all about survey or something. I don't know what happened to those company or people, why they are doing this. Are they legally to do so? Annoyed!!! Waste time !!!

    I confirmed with the representative that they obtained my details from familycentral.com.au. I visited this website and it is something I have never been to nor registered with. They were seeking a survey to be complete to go in the draw to win $250K in prizes. She wasn't very happy when I politely asked to be removed from their database.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
