Identifying the Scam Behind 03 5877 7000
The phone number 03 5877 7000 has been identified as a scam robocall, with multiple users reporting distressing interactions claiming to be from eBay. This type of fraud preys on unsuspecting individuals by pretending that there are unauthorized transactions linked to their accounts, which can cause panic and confusion.
Types of Reports
Users describe a similar scenario: a pre-recorded message or robocall alerts them of a charge—often in the hundreds of dollars—claiming to be associated with an eBay purchase that simply does not exist. The recorded voice asks potential victims to call back to address the so-called urgent transaction. However, these calls are simply attempts to extract personal information or money from the recipient.
Distinguishing Features of the Scam
- Impersonation of Trusted Entities: The callers impersonate eBay, a well-known online marketplace. Legitimate businesses typically do not contact customers via robocalls regarding transactions.
- Requests for Immediate Action: The urgency in the calls may prompt recipients to act hastily without verification, a common tactic employed by scammers.
- Low Quality Communication: Complaints about poor language skills from the scammers suggest a lack of authenticity, an alarming characteristic of fraudulent entities.
How to Handle Calls from 03 5877 7000
If you receive a call from 03 5877 7000, it is crucial to remain calm and not react impulsively. Follow these guidelines:
- Do Not Engage: Avoid interacting with the robocall. Do not press any numbers or call back.
- Report the Number: You can report such calls to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) or use platforms like Reverseau for guidance on suspected fraud.
- Verify with the Company: If you fear that communication may be legitimate, contact eBay directly through their official channels to confirm any claims.
In conclusion, 03 5877 7000 is a scam number that exploits the name of eBay to mislead and intimidate users. Being informed and vigilant is key in preventing falling victim to such phone scams.

Same scammer today. Same amount $299.99 on my supposed eBay account which I don't have.
Got very heated, kept asking me to "understand". Indian prick.
That number also appears to have a connection to 02 4426 9445. They are the same arseholes.
The robo voice claimed to be from eBay for $299.99 charged to my account. I taunted the Indian scammer with, "Which account number of mine is being charged?" The piece of human trash replied all of them and "It will be for the $699.99 then the whole of the money now is being for the $13.000" (Great grasp of the English language there buddy). Lowlife bassards!!
Its a scam bro. Don't stress. The robo voice claimed to be from eBay for $299.99 for me and I know 100% no money is coming out of my bank account because I've got $0.00 in it. Plus any financial institute (including eBay and banks) DO NOT robo call.
Scam robocaller.
Pretends to be eBay. This is not real at all, eBay does not call about purchases or taking/giving money at all.
Robo call saying they are going to debit my bank account $677.85 unless I call back to cancel my order problem is I haven't ordered anything so I am obviously not calling back. Just going to wait and see if anything goes out of my bank account.
