I received a call claiming to be from Bendigo Bank, stating there was an $1800 transaction for a Peter Wilson in the USA on my account. Since I do not have a Bendigo Bank account, I mentioned this to the caller. He seemed confused and hung up. I find this very concerning as I received a similar call from another number two weeks ago.

Scammer. Blocked.
The caller claimed to be from the Bendigo Bank's Fraud department and said my phone number was noted in their records. I told them this was nonsense because I am not even a customer of theirs.
The caller claimed to be from the fraud department of Bendigo Bank and mentioned my previous name. They accurately provided the call center address. They informed me that a $2,000 transaction was being processed from my account to someone named Patricia Smith in the U.S. When I expressed confusion and asked questions, they stated that if I hung up, the transaction would proceed without my consent.
