Just got a call from this number, and they advised they were the tax office and that claims were being filed against me, and started asking for details. I assume that I would be contacted in a more official manner if that was the case and asked them to provide their details, which they couldn't do.

Scam call. Automated message saying you’re being sued if you don’t call back. They rang me, I didn’t talk, a recorded message threatened to sue me.

Claiming to be the Australian Taxation Office, with a heavy Indian accent. They called my client and stated that he owed over 3k (has only been working 1 month since coming to Aus.) When I stated "does not sound like the ATO" they hung up.
Automated voice (sounding a little like Stephen Hawking) - I didn't listen to the diatribe.

Apparently this call wants to issue an arrest warrant if you don't call back or do what they tell you to. Come and catch me you scum bag. More like you will get arrested in a matter of time.

That’s as far as I listened.
As I answered the call, it was a male voice recording saying they were from ATO and there was a law suit being filed against my name. They said I must contact 03 5294 0248 asap otherwise...... (I hung up at this point).
RECORDED MESSAGE says they will issue a warrant for you arrest. DO NOT ANSWER...!!!
This number just called and it sounded like a scam. They claimed to be the Australian Tax Office, that I was audited, and I need to contact them or they are going to arrest me. What a load of garbage.

Do not give them your details or call them back.
They claim are from ATO, that he is a Police Officer, has audited past 2 years tax returns and found some mistakes and will send the Sheriff around to collect your debt.
The caller from 0352940248 left me a message that legal proceeding are being initiated against my company and should call back to avoid being arrested. The message sounds like recorded message.
Definitely a scam.
