Tax scam, pretending to be from taxation office. Requesting to return call otherwise you would be under arrest.
I had this number call me just now. I let it go to my voicemail. I listened to my voicemale and it was a robot male voice stating that it was the Australian Taxation office and they were ringing for legal infringement etc. I know this is a scam call so just deleted the voicemail.
The ATO will never ever ring in such a manner, they send letters via post.
Scam.
This number is now being used for a Tax Scam claiming to be the ATO. Perhaps it could be closed down....
I never answer calls from unknown numbers anymore. This one is another reason why. Weird computer generated voicemail (think of that social justice group ‘anonymous’) saying the Australian Taxation Office has opened a lawsuit against me. Ridiculous.
