August 3/2022 - 0352923332 called my mobile with the call location coming up as Newtown, Victoria. As I didn’t recognise the number, I immediately googled to try and establish an ID. I couldn’t find anything solid, so I switched my phone setting so that if I called someone, my number was not displayed, and I called this number back just in case it was a legitimate call, as I do know someone from that area and wondered if it could have been from that person. Anyway, a Telstra auto message came on saying “the phone number was not valid. Please check the directory before calling again…”

So - this is a scam call!

Interestingly and may or may not be related but after calling this number back, I immediately got a call from 0423985618. A woman calling herself Audra from Health…something spoke, but when I asked her to repeat where she was from, she hung up.

When I called this number back, I received a recorded message from Optus stating that the number has been disconnected. This makes me suspect that it could be a scam caller.
