Scammer pretending to be Telstra National Broadband Network tech support saying they have monitored my Ip change from static to dynamic and this caused insecurity of my computer. Little do they know I work in IT. As soon as I questioned their authenticity the scammer hung up.
Appears to be a scam.
I received a call from what seemed like a Victorian area number. The caller claimed to be from Telstra tech support and mentioned they had detected a change in my IP address from static to dynamic, implying it could cause security issues on my computer. However, this is inaccurate as such a change does not degrade security, and I am not a Telstra customer. When I told them I work in IT, the caller abruptly hung up.
