An unknown caller from Bendigo contacted me regarding unauthorized Amazon transactions on my credit card, asking me to confirm my personal details. I hung up on what I felt was a scam.
I didn't answer the call because the number was from Bendigo. Based on previous reports, I felt it was best to avoid what could be a scam, so I decided to block the number.
I received calls from (02) 6048 3097, and both indicated they were about a credit card transaction that I did not authorize. One of the transactions they mentioned was linked to Amazon. It's surprising how gullible they think people are.
Today, This number called me at 01:04 pm Melbourne-time. I didn't answer as I have my mobile on "silent/mute". "You missed a call, but the caller didn't leave a message.", is what I read on the "Text Message" notification. I looked this un-familiar number up on Google, and this listing came up. Above comments have said "SCAM" so, that's what this number is. Blocked and reported as SCAM on my iPhone. I also don't know anyone in Bendigo. Thankyou to everyone for your previous comments.
