The person told me I am using Optus internet and my internet line was attached by hackers from overseas so many times.

For my security, I have to do something to protect myself. Actually, I have no idea about my home internet, netflix or other things because my son set up for me. I asked the person’s name and phone numbers so my son can ring him back. However he doesn’t want to give me the number. I asked few times still didn’t give me and getting angry with me. So I switched off. I think this number is scam.

The caller claims that I have parcels about to be returned and pretends to be from Australia Post. They spoke in Mandarin, and I suspect they are part of a scam campaign connected to political influences. I recommend hanging up and blocking this number immediately!

The asian lady said she was from TELSTRA and was enquiring about our internet connection.

As soon as I enquired why she would ring me - she hung up.

I received a missed call from this number, but they chose not to leave any voicemail message. This makes me question their legitimacy.
