The caller was pretending to be from Optus, which I am not affiliated with, so I suspect this was a fraudulent call.
This is a scammer. They said they were from Vodafone and were offering a discount... I just needed to tell them my PIN. They texted my phone while I was talking to them to try and pretend they were from Vodafone to try and get me to click on a link.
