Just reported this phone number to the ATO as they rang and told me they had a case of tax fraud against me. Indian male who became aggressive when I asked him loads of questions. If they ring you report it to the ATO on 1800008540.

Claims to be from Tax department, HOAX. Does not identify who he needs to speak to which is the first think that would be done by a government body.
I was told this was the ATO regarding tax evasion and fraud. I actually got a name and extension number; Peter Williams ext 002 - who then hung up on me. The man I believe sounded Indian. On the phone now to report it.
