Called me at 6:40 pm, left no message. I don’t answer unknown numbers at all so they missed out.

Depending on your phone model, you have the option to configure it to only receive calls from numbers stored in your contacts. However, I've encountered an issue where delivery drivers call when they are close by to ask if I'm home for a drop-off. If I don’t answer, they either leave the items at the post office or I need to arrange a redelivery.

I received a call at 6 PM, which I found quite amusing. The caller attempted a scam, and their approach seemed foolish. The number displayed as a Victorian area code, but the call seemed to originate from New South Wales.

The caller identified themselves as conducting an Australian University Survey, but I chose to terminate the call before providing any information.

Spam call seemingly from Geelong, Victoria.

I've blocked this number. I wish there was a way to have a "whitelist" for incoming calls, allowing only those I know to reach me. I understand now why younger generations prefer to use Facebook for communication; it helps avoid these spam calls. Unfortunately, switching to Facebook isn't an option for me since I am not very tech-savvy.

Got a phone call from this number, was identified as "Australian Research Centre", where they are asking personal questions that have NOTHING to do with anyone except home owners or family.

Asking questions related to your home owner status (mortgaged, owned etc. - Has nothing to do with them), and what the amount your mortgage is - again has nothing to do with anyone except the home owner and/or their family.

This isn't the first time I've had this type of "robo call", it's an automated voice system, which, I am certain is illegal to use/have, when conducting any form of survey questions. I am uncertain of this however, but, as far as I'm concerned, this should be illegal, after all, you can't "decline" to answer a machine!
