Bloody energy comparator trying to sell power direct plan.
Go Switch, they knew that I am from Energy Australia and wanted me to switch over.
How did they get to know about it?
Received several calls over a couple of weeks from these guys. They claim to be offering a new deal from EnergyAustralia and offer to switch you over - they acknowledge they're a third party marketer.
They have all the rate plans, they have your name and address, they calculate how much you'll save, etc. They ask for detailed personal information.
They claimed they would send through an information packet shortly and I never received it. When I called up EnergyAustralia, they said that they had never received any information about these guys and the plan that EnergyAustralia offers differed from what these guys provided.
Tried calling this number back and it's engaged. You can't get through.
High chance that these guys are a scam and they'll use your personal information for identity theft and other purposes.

I had a missed call from 03 4219 1302 on Monday. Thinking it might be a client, I called the number back Wednesday morning - three times - and it didn't connect. I received a call from this number Wednesday evening, curious, I answered it but didn't say hello or anything... There was a bit of noise and snippets of conversation in the background, like thrir phone was in their bag/pocket and they'd accidentally called... I called back and message was 'Optus regrets that the number has been disconnected.'.
After reading all the comments above, I'm hoping my phone hasn't been hacked.
Had 2 calls on my mobile about a new deal from Energy Australia in my area. I asked for a phone number to verify the call the number I was given was 1300 878 346 which is the number for True Insurance. When I questioned the 1300 number on the second call they hung up.
I had a call from this number but no one spoke when I picked up the call. I rang back the number from a different phone and noted that it was disconnected.
They called my mobile claiming to be from Energy Australia and were offering discounts. They also knew my address and the home owner's name, which is unsettling because my mobile number isn't in any way connected to the home owner's (who isn't me) account.
Obvious trickery going on.
Said they were offering a discount on energy and gas. I requested a call back at 4pm. They never called.
They pretend to take a survey about your electricity and gas supplier then they proceed to try to change you over to a new provider.
Keep getting calls from it, does anyone know who it is?
Received FaceTime call from this number but it is unknown to me. Also had weird Viber Text that when I tried to Delete it started "Connecting" to the internet. Worried that my phone has been hacked.
