Repeated Calls from 02 9962 8832
One contributor has reported receiving incessant calls from 02 9962 8832 (also written as 0299628832), a local service number provisioned by TPG Telecom Limited in New South Wales. The contributor, located in Malaysia but maintaining an Australian phone number, has not answered any of the calls from this number.
The pattern of repeated calling without answer attempts suggests either automated dialling or persistent callback attempts. The contributor's decision not to engage with 0299628832 is notable, as many phone numbers generating repeated calls without voicemail follow either telemarketing or callback scam patterns.
What to Do If You Receive Calls from 02 9962 8832
If 02 9962 8832 continues calling you:
- Do not: Answer unknown numbers, return the call, or engage with any message
- Do: Let calls go to voicemail, check if a message is left, block the number if calls persist
- Consider: Adding 0299628832 to your phone's blocked list after the first few unanswered calls
Repeated calls from the same number without voicemail or clear purpose are a common tactic in both telemarketing campaigns and callback scams, where callers hope you will return the call and incur charges or be directed to a scam line.

WRITE A REVIEWFrequently Asked Questions
Why would 02 9962 8832 keep calling if no one is answering?
Repeated unanswered calls from 0299628832 often indicate automated dialling systems used by telemarketing campaigns or callback scams. These systems dial numbers sequentially and hang up if no one picks up, or in callback scams, they hope you will return the call. The TPG Telecom infrastructure supports legitimate business use, but the pattern here warrants caution.
Should I answer a call from 02 9962 8832 to find out who is calling?
No. The contributor who reported 0299628832 made the right choice by not answering. If a caller has a legitimate reason to reach you, they will leave a voicemail. Answering unknown numbers, especially those calling repeatedly, confirms your number is active and may lead to more calls or scam attempts.
Can I block 02 9962 8832 on my phone?
Yes. Most phones allow you to block individual numbers. After 02 9962 8832 calls a few times without leaving a message, adding 0299628832 to your blocked contacts will prevent further calls from this number. Check your phone settings under 'Block' or 'Do Not Disturb' options.
Is 02 9962 8832 definitely a scam?
Not necessarily. The single report indicates repeated calls, which could suggest telemarketing, a business trying to reach the wrong person, or a callback scam. The category remains 'uncertain' because one contributor's unanswered calls are insufficient to confirm intent. If you answer and receive a clear pitch or threat, report it immediately.
What should I do if I accidentally answer 02 9962 8832?
If you answer and hear silence, a robotic message, or an unclear greeting, hang up immediately without providing any information. Do not press any numbers or confirm your name. Block 0299628832 and monitor for further calls. If the caller claims to be from a bank, government agency, or utility, hang up and call that organisation directly using an official number to verify.
How can I report repeated calls from 02 9962 8832?
Report to ACMA (acma.gov.au) if the calls appear to be unsolicited marketing or potential scams. If you receive threatening or impersonation calls from 0299628832, report to Scamwatch (scamwatch.gov.au). Contributing your experience on Reverseau helps other Australians identify patterns with this number.
