I got a call from this number which after I answered there was a delay. I was immediately suspicious.
The caller purported to have been from Amazon and asked if I wanted to confront man order for an iPhone 15 which allegedly was made through my account. They quoted my name and email address which I assume they have obtained via a data leak.
They wanted me to provide them with additional information to cancel or approve the order. I hung up.
Scammer pretending to be calling from “Telstra” to ask for my IP address. Says my IP is public and he can help me make it private. I played along for a bit and then said “I guess you’re a scammer” and he hung up straight away.
