This is genuinely FedEx. I was suspicious at first. They described the package and the senders and had my name and phone number and a slightly incorrect address. Obviously I went full scam paranoia, but guess what, sometimes companies are just trying to help. I tried to consider how else would FedEx avoid having to send back to China, other than calling the details on the package - email I guess, but, people fake those and /or don't read them.
The number showed up on my phone as being from Blacktown, Sydney, so I chose to ignore it. A woman left a voicemail claiming she was with FedEx and asked me to call her back on the same number. However, I was not expecting any delivery from FedEx or any courier service. I did try to return the call, but the line was busy every time I tried.
