Definite scam. Had a missed call, called the number back and they claimed to be Lowes menswear, I have never shopped at Lowes in my life (nor would I). After asking my name, I gave them my first name and they said my last name (to which I confirmed). So they obviously got my details from somewhere. She asked if I minded holding while she transferred me to her colleague that was trying to reach me. I said yes, was put on hold for a couple short questions then the call ended/disconnected.

How did the person that answered know my last name if it was her colleague that rang me? As mentioned, I don’t shop there. What’s odd is when I mentioned this to my partner, she asked me what time they rang. Someone claiming to be from Lowes rang her from a mobile number 3 minutes before I received the call from this landline number. She just hung up on them assuming it was a scam because she also doesn’t shop at Lowes.
