    I had a man call from this number who repeatedly said from the moment I answered the phone "I will keep calling and calling and calling" ect.

    What the hell? Why would a call center do something like that? I don't think so.

    This number is 2evolve, a call centre in Sydney which calls on behalf of charities (like World Vision, Amnesty International, WWF).

    They are definitely not 'scammers', and if you ask, they will remove you from the calling list. I did this, and the woman I spoke to was really lovely.

    Yes, I think it is Amnesty International. I've found their telemarketing to be very pushy. I decided to stop regularly contributing to them after they rang me and said I wasn't giving enough...

    It is amnesty international.

    When you call back it has a recorded message saying something else.

    This number I believe is from 2evolve in Sydney. They call me daily and I never answer. They leave 2 second voicemails yet say nothing on them. Fundraisers or scammers in my opinion!

    Getting a call from this number every few days. Rings maybe twice, and when I call back, it goes straight to an automated answering machine.

    I have been getting calls from this number for a couple of months. No specific times, and the last two days once at lunch and the other time after lunch. A fortnight ago at 7pm. I tried to call back but when it rings it hangs up. I will be blocking this number.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
