    They call all hours as late as 8pm if it goes to message bank all you can hear is people talking in the back ground, so sick of it .

    This number keeps on calling my mobile phone at odd hours like at night, the weekend so I doubt it is the green peace as like other users I tried to call back using land line but couldn't get through, it is most likely a scammer using some dialing machine.

    I keep getting calls from this number. They don't leave a message and most of the time it doesn't ring for long enough for me to get to the call.

    Yes, I can confirm this is Greenpeace. Apparently I signed a petition at some stage (I sign heaps of petitions, so don't remember exactly which one this was). My husband answered though, so I'm still not exactly sure what they want.

    I think it may have been from Greenpeace. I got a short call from them at an inconvenient time this Monday and the woman said she'd ring back. Have received two missed calls since.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
