What Our Users Reviewed
I received a call from someone thanking me for a donation that I did not make. The caller claimed that the person who supposedly made the contribution was unavailable and requested that I call back the next day. I suspect this is a scam!
The caller identified themselves as National SES volunteers and mentioned my email address while referencing the exact amount I had donated before. They asked me for a phone donation for their Guardian Angels program. I requested that they send me an email with the details so I could think about it, but I have yet to receive any email from them.
I understand that some people are calling for donations, but it's becoming excessive. I've had enough of these persistent calls and have blocked this number.
I recently started a new job, and I am receiving persistent calls from a charity that won't stop calling my new work phone number. It has become quite disruptive, and I would like these calls to cease.
I receive calls from this number at least once a day, and this pattern has continued for about three years. I have requested multiple times for them to stop calling me. I participate in raffles to support fundraising, so they don't need to persistently reach out to me.
I can confirm this is a 100% scam call. I contacted the State Emergency Service (SES) for verification, and they confirmed that they do not solicit money or donations from the public. I strongly recommend blocking this number.
After a lengthy five-minute sales pitch from a caller attempting to solicit money, I declined and when I asked if it was a money issue, he surprisingly inquired, "Is that a money issue?" I firmly told him it was none of his business. Cold calls shouldn't expect such personal information.
Even though I'm registered on the Do Not Call Register, this charity called me. I have donated to them in the past and may do so again, but I don’t appreciate being contacted in this manner and have informed them. I have blocked their number.
I don't waste my time answering these 'unknown number' calls. Just let them go to voice mail, of course they don't leave a message! Certainly very pesty people.
I received a bothersome call from the SES association, claiming to raise funds. I am on the do-not-call register and have repeatedly requested to be removed from their list, but they continue to call. Please block this number to avoid further hassle!
I missed the call from this number, and after seeing it was associated with SES, I have now blocked it. I've repeatedly requested them to stop calling me, and it’s becoming very frustrating.
This number called and a 9second inaudible voice mail was left. No speech. Just muffled noise like it was recorded under water.
Rang again don't leave a message.
Unknown number from Sydney. Didn't leave a message. Coincidentally I've received multiple calls from different numbers today that have been spam calls. First time in a while all at once....
I received a call that had background noise typical of a call center. When I answered with "hello," the caller hung up immediately.
Unknown, did not leave message.
Unsolicited call no message.
