    Incoming as suspected Spam. Declined call and when you call back no response. Please note this number 0291893607 called 5 mins after another call from 0291893609 - which was the same result - no answer.

    Have now blocked both numbers on my mobile. What a pain these morons are.

    Someone called me from this number, claim they are from National Broadband Network, and is about to cut off my landline, and I don't even have a landline. The "technician" background noise is very loud, and sounds suspicious. Trying to threaten me someone is doing illegal things with my internet, and ask me to let them "secure internet" from them right now. Then due to the connection is bad, she hang off.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
