I have been getting calls from a David with an English accent, saying they are from the Incident Care Team, the number shows up as if it is from Sydney. They are trying to get me to claim accident insurance and have asked me to go and see a doctor, speak to a nurse and report the accident to the police. I think they are insurance brokers trying to get you to claim for accident injury. Even if all you had was a scare they suggest psychological help, I have eventually found if you deny any permanent injury and no police report was found, then they hang up on you.
Just had someone ring my mobile asking about a car accident I had been in. I said No not been in an accident, he said within the last 12 months, I said not. He then asked if I was still at my address and named my road, I said who is this and he hung up. When I rang the number again 91889425 it just says “Goodbye”.
Big SCAM.
I just recived a call from a man who knew my name and claim that Wants to talk about a car accident!!! This is a totally false I haven't been involved in any accidents at all. I said "no thank you, good bye".
I should have said "talk to the police about it mate".
They call and hang up leave no message.
Caller attempted to ask me details about a crash that presumably I was in within the last 12 months. I asked for an ABN and trading name of which the caller had no idea what I was talking about. The caller would not let me speak to supervisor or provide me any information as to how they got my name and number only to the effect that I must of filled out an E-form or web page in relation to insurance. When asked what the data would be used for, he commented that the information would be tallied and supplied to their 16 insurance based Client tiers that he represented.... Total scam. Tried calling back after he hung up but the phone was busy. I get these call up about once every week. Each caller gives me the same spiel. Each time I block them and tell them that they are useless scammers. Each time I try and call them back with zero results. The number is not listed but they seem to always say they are from the Sydney/Rocks area on George Street.
