This number called several times today. Left a text indicating BOQ was concerned about a European transaction, asking me to call back, and providing a 6-digit code. I was suspicious, and didn’t respond. As it was Sunday, there was no way to confirm with an official BOQ phone number. Later today it called my mobile, and then called on my landline. At that stage I calculated that it probably was BOQ, so I called back. Apart from the 6 digit code, they didn’t ask for any further information other than for me to say that I hadn’t made the European transaction. The upshot is that my card has been compromised, and has now been cancelled. It is a genuine caller, although I was quite suspicious initially, and was annoyed that there was no way for me to contact BOQ independently on a Sunday to check its bona fides.

I received an automated call from this number after Bank of Queensland placed a hold on my credit card due to a possible fraudulent transaction. I confirmed the legitimacy of this concern by calling BoQ directly using the number found on the back of my card, and they verified the fraudulent activity. I've also received follow-up emails and SMS regarding the transaction. This is not a scam.

A call was received from someone claiming to be from the Bank of Queensland's fraud department. Upon calling back using an official number I have for BOQ, I learned they had placed a hold on my card due to suspicious transactions. After verifying those transactions, the hold was lifted.

Appears to be a spam call spoofing BOQ. Isn't on the BOQ website. They are claiming a suspicious charge has been made on my Credit card. Call your institution direct. Don't trust this number.

I suspect this is the Bank of Queensland (BOQ) fraud team calling, as my BOQ card was recently used fraudulently. I am assuming this number is legitimate and worth responding to.
