    No message left. When I called back it didn't even go through. It just hung up straight away. No answer.

    Just got the same type of call. Told them I'm waiting on an important call and can't keep the line busy (truth) and they got quite impatient. Foreign sounding lady.

    Seems to be a spam call. I asked to be taken off the call list and they hung up on me.

    They called from this Sydney number about a financial survey (the likes of which I have taken part in before) asking if Corona had affected me, investment sizes. He answered none of my questions, and I lied about my answers, but he had my name, ph # and email address already form somewhere. I rang the number back and it didn't connect, Dodgy.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
