I received a call from a woman with an Indian accent who claimed to be notifying me about suspicious transactions linked to New Zealand. After I verified my transactions were all in order, she asked me for my account balance. When I requested her to provide the balance information from her end instead, she abruptly hung up. I believe this was a spam call.

This pest called yesterday and hung up when answering machine operated. Has started calling again, july 5, and hanging up when answering machine operates. Definatetly not a friend.

Only answered as I was expecting a call. Caller claimed to be from Optus, advising my mobile network has a link that is compromised. I asked how and if this was apart of the Optus data breach and he said Optus cannot be hacked (lies). Once I asked to confirm details about me told me to shut up and hung up… scammer for sure.

The caller (Indian accent) claimed to be from Telstra.

He said other people were accessing my broadband.

He asked me to put my phone on speaker and open any app that monitored my broadband speed.

I said no.

He hung up.

Our answering service centre received a call today claiming to be from National Broadband Network, asking to speak with the owner of the National Broadband Network service; as soon as they were asked who did they want to speak with and that a message would be left for them, they hung up, Scammer Warning.

Indian voice, clearly a call centre due to the number of voices in the background, claimed to be a Telstra security expert claiming my mobile's IP had been hacked. Insisted I visit a number of web sites to validate claim but could not explain how DHCP actually works and how it could be hacked. When questioned over which part of Telstra he was from he claim he was not local and that he was from Telstra headquarters in the secuirty department.

Indian voice claimed to be from the National Broadband Network "Technical Department". He hung up. Why would the National Broadband Network ring a mobile 'phone?

I answered the phone to a male speaker with a very strong Indian accent who took a long time to respond. When I inquired about the call, he identified himself as Josh from Telstra. Since I'm not a Telstra customer, I told him that I wasn't interested and hung up.
