I received a call from this number, saying they were from Telstra and that my internet was unstable and that I needed to check the settings on Safari or my internet would be open to the public. Of course none of it made sense, so I questioned it and in the end asked for a number to call the department back. She said they aren’t allowed to give out their number. I said you were from Telstra there would be a department number I can call back on. She wanted to put me through to her manager so he could provide the reassurance that it was legitimate. I said and I’ll have no proof he is from Telstra either so I am hanging up now. Hung up. They didn’t ask for credit card or anything, whether they were going to do so further in I don’t know. Either way seemed super suss!
