I got a call from a guy with african type accent. Said my account has been been hacked.
Ok, so it’s Sunday, and a public holiday, and at a time when some people are still sleeping, so for a MOMENT, I thought this was legit. However, male did not introduce himself, nor say where he was calling from, instead stating “we have what we believe to be fraudulent activity on your account. We need you to login and we will talk you through it over the phone”
I then said “oh really, which account are you calling about?” To which he replied “your crypto, I need you to tell me your account number” (I thought here we go, you just called me to tell me my account has some fraudulent activity, and you don’t know my account number) and also asked for my password. I said I’m not sharing my account details with you, if you believe there’s some suspicious activity, put my account on hold and I will deal with it later.
He then starting screaming at me “listen to me now bitch, you have to do exactly what I say …. “
And I then hung up on him.

I got a call from a guy with very difficult to understand accent. Said something along the lines of my crypto account has issues and they have put account on temporary hold and to ensure I could access my account, I needed to answer some security questions. Firstly though he wanted me to give my name, address, phone number etc., and also asked me for my bank account number. After that, he would then go into security questions. I refused to entertain the call and told him I didn’t have any crypto accounts or issues for that matter. Male started ranting and screaming at me. I told him I was going to hang up and then call the cops. He then started swearing at me and that’s when I hung up and blocked the number.

I got a call from a guy with african type accent. Told me it was to do with my crypto currency. Apparently there was an issue with my “account” and he asked me “for security purposes” to give my full name, address and phone number.
I asked what the “issue” was and he said I needed to give my details first, before he could continue with the call.
I asked him why I needed to give my details when it was him who called me. He then started to yell saying I could lose all my $$$ if I didn’t hurry up.
I told him I think he had called me by mistake when he screamed “the only mistake will be if you don’t give me your details”
I hung up and blocked - I have never used crypto currency in my life - like WTF.
