Got call yesterday evening. "ATO" lady threatening with long term prison and huge fine if don't reply ASAP. Scammers!!!
I got that call too, and it's definitely a scam. I called the ATO straight away, and they said it's a total scam... They don't call people regarding things like that, they would send a letter or someone in person. Thy like to keep track of scam calls like that so you should just call the ATO and let them know about it. They can't inform people or stop these calls from happening unless they are reported. They are really nice, and would be very appreciative if you let them know about it. Don't stress. You have nothing at all to worry about. Promise.
Yep, definitely a scam. Just delete it. This is not how the ATO operates.
